Cheers and wolf whistles of appreciation greeted three women who recently unveiled brand new looks with the collaborative efforts of Procter & Gamble Malaysia (P&G) and the Malaysian Hairdressing Association (MHA). They were blogger Vivien Sam, beauty writer Tengku Zainab and TV presenter MayJune Tan.

Over 40 members of the MHA, guests and media attended The Science and Art of Hair, a beauty advocacy campaign that brought together P&G’s scientific expertise with the artistic abilities of the MHA stylists.

Dr Colin D’ Silva, Principal Scientist and Associate Director, Scientific Communications & Public Relations for P&G Beauty was present to share his thoughts about each participant’s hair health issues, and offered enlightening explanations about hair damage and associated treatment options.

"One of the most common hair issues faced by women is split ends. Pantene lab studies have shown that a Pantene Pro-V regimen can lessen split ends. Hair then of course looks less damaged and hence you won’t feel the need to cut the ends anymore. Hair will become healthier when it is protected and further damage and split ends can then be prevented," explained Dr Colin.

Also present were P&G Malaysia Country CEO Yuri Hermida, MHA president Billy Lim, and stylists Florence Lum and Aaron Yap.
